Our SRHR engagement story began with a vibrant community meeting held in the heart of Dodoma — a gathering that brought together the ADOT team, local community members, and key decision makers. The day was filled with energy and purpose as voices from different backgrounds came together to discuss pressing issues surrounding Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). Despite the challenges of the day — the heat, the distance, and the busy schedules of those attending — everyone arrived with one shared goal: to inspire change and strengthen understanding.
The discussions went beyond mere conversations; they were moments of connection, awareness, and shared responsibility. Community leaders, youth representatives, and policymakers sat side by side, exchanging ideas on how to improve access to SRHR information and services. It was in that very room that commitments were made — commitments to raise awareness, to build stronger partnerships, and to influence actions that would lead to healthier, more inclusive communities.
As the meeting came to a close, the sense of hope was undeniable. What began as a single day of dialogue became a milestone for ADOT’s ongoing efforts to drive transformative change and shape policies that truly reflect the needs and rights of the people. That day in Dodoma reminded everyone that meaningful impact starts with collective voices and shared determination for a better, healthier future
