Our SEMA project story begins with assessment venture conducted end of 2022 at the ADOT`s small office that marked the beginning of its journey! As far from the town as it was, rained that day and traffic jam made it harder for the assessors to reach us at our office but as how few commented upon arrival; it was worth it reaching us despite the road hectic! Passing of the assessment was increasingly blessing news to ADOT team and shouts of appreciation roar the sky that day!
SEMA is the project name; a one and half year project targeting PWDs actors, local leaders , community members , social community groups , PWDs stockholders and CSO`s network which has single objective -to strengthen enabling mechanism for accountability through promotion of inclusive governance and human rights with focus on Persons With Disabilities (PWDs)’
Considering the realization of less concertation donor funding to the rural areas SEMA project has deliberately benchmarked Chamazi and Sandali wards from Temeke districts for its initial implementation.
The objective of the SEMA project is to Strengthen Enabling Mechanism of Accountability through promotions of inclusive governance and human rights with the focus on PWDs (Persons With Disabilities) rights’
The month of October 2024 was a busiest month involving the SEMA project final reports compilation in addition to it’s corresponding project audit. It begun with the inception virtual meeting with ForumCiv donors begging of October to the actual audit by EVK auditors to finally got our first funded and successful implemented 18 months project audit reports.
