What We Do

As a way of implementing the objective no.1 which aims to promote the awareness in the communities on issues regarding the most vulnerable persons with disabilities challenges to comprehend this there was a debate on whether to test the conceptualized disabilities challenges theory by the founder of ADOT which states that the degree of challenges faced by the most vulnerable persons with disabilities especially women, children and youth are tripped as compared to those of a person without disabilities and that the only way to give solution towards a person with disabilities is by considering the 9i agenda concurrently the advocacy and execution for any of the 9i agenda.

The formula above simply translates the ADOT theory of understanding for the degree of challenges Most Vulnerable Persons With Disabilities faces in comparison with the abled persons which is not thoroughly understood by the communities.

‘D’ and ‘U’ from the above formula represents similar meaning in different languages. 

‘D’ stands for Disability whereas ‘U’ stands for ‘Ulemavu’

‘C_abd’ represents challenges of an abled person

The ‘i’ stands for inclusive whereas the 9i is conceptualized the 9i agenda for ADOT which combines all the inclusivity services namely inclusive education, inclusive health and households, inclusive accommodation, inclusive costs, inclusive culture, inclusive perceptions, inclusive economy, inclusive leadership, inclusive fashion and styles.

The (a.e) on the formula represents the product of advocacy and execution.  This means that when all the 9i agenda are met by the communities as a requirement to reduce challenges faced by the most vulnerable persons with disabilities alone they will not be sufficient without having the necessity for both advocacy and execution for each of them.  When there is no advocacy expect no miracles for execution and vice versa.  It is the demanding desire for ADOT to ensure implementation of all the 9i agenda including the creative ways of advocating and executing.

NB:  It is the extent of challenges faced by persons with disabilities that are not comprehended by the community of the persons without disabilities.

It is this gap of knowledge that ADOT wish to address and seek for some sustainable solutions of the fate.
